Patients beginning to live with a chronic disease have questions very much like anyone learning to live within new limitations. Other questions are very specific to the disease itself. Many people wonder what their quality of life will be; and how they can preserve it. All of these questions are debated daily on TMA's bulletin boards and addressed in TMA's chat rooms. In some areas member support groups alternate between programs on practical solutions to everyday problems and programs on adjusting emotionally.
You will find a wealth of information on this site directing you to the best possible answers to your questions about your health, future, happiness, independence and relationships. Also, be sure to ask other myositis patients for their solutions to some of the problems you are beginning to face, both practical and emotional.
